Design International appointed as the lead architect for LuLu Mall Ahmedabad

We’re excited to share that Design International has been appointed as the lead architect for the upcoming LuLu Mall Ahmedabad, a flagship retail and entertainment destination in the heart of Gujarat, India.

This project marks another proud chapter in our ongoing partnership with the LuLu Group, a relationship built on shared ambition and innovation. Over the years, we've had the privilege of working together on several landmark developments from LuLu Mall Lucknow to LuLu Mall Thiruvananthapuram, and many iconic destinations across the UAE.

Now, we’re bringing that same spirit to Ahmedabad, one of India’s fastest-growing cities and a vibrant economic heart. With 56,000sqm GLA of retail space across four levels, LuLu Mall Ahmedabad is set to become a benchmark for future retail in India, a dynamic space designed for shopping, gathering, and celebrating community. The mall will include Gujarat’s largest outdoor event space in a mall environment, a full-scale LuLu Hypermarket, state of the art cinema and entertainment centre, a lush indoor garden-style food court and restaurants with a special focus on vegetarian cuisine.

At its core, this project is about more than architecture, it’s about creating a destination that reflects the spirit of the city and the people who live in it.

Designing LuLu Mall Ahmedabad is an incredible opportunity to reimagine the future of retail and leisure in one of India’s most dynamic cities. Ahmedabad has such a rich energy, and we’re excited to bring a space to life that reflects both global aspirations and local culture. This project is more than a mall; it’s a landmark for Gujarat and a proud addition to our continuing journey with LuLu Group
— Kollin Akbar, Design Manager at Design International

We’re thrilled to help shape this new chapter for retail in India and we can’t wait to see LuLu Mall Ahmedabad come to life.
